A fine-bubble diffuser for aerated biological filters: an ABS air branch pipe carrying one or more membrane stations, each sealed by a rubber membrane disc with a single orifice. Air pressure lifts the membrane and releases the air through that one orifice; when the blower stops the membrane reseats and closes the orifice to the water.

A single orifice under an elastic membrane does the metering, and the body pipe carries a row of those membrane stations — so a whole aeration row is built on one pipe instead of on many separate fittings.
Each membrane covers one air port and releases its air through a single orifice in the centre of the disc, so air leaves from one point per station and the elastic membrane seals that orifice again as soon as the air supply stops.
The membrane sits on the body pipe between two moulded toothed clamp rings. The rings hold the disc flat over the air port, and a worn membrane can be released and renewed at its own station rather than renewing the whole body.
The membrane stations are carried on a single ABS body pipe, so one air connection feeds a run of aeration points and the grid is assembled from fewer pipe runs and fewer joints on the tank floor.

The build described above is the standard construction of this diffuser type. Bore, length, station spacing, orifice size and every performance figure are confirmed in writing with the quotation, because diffuser performance depends on tank or filter-plate layout, water depth, airflow rate and diffuser density.

Send your tank or filter-plate layout, airflow rate and destination — we'll confirm the body length, station spacing, membrane grade, quantity and export packaging.
