A fine-bubble tube aerator for municipal and industrial wastewater — an EPDM micro-pore membrane stretched over an ABS or PVC support tube, held by 304 stainless steel clamps. The self-closing pores resist backflow and keep the diffuser free from clogging.

A simple tube body with a self-closing micro-pore membrane — high oxygen utilisation, uniform ring loading and easy installation and maintenance.
A perforated EPDM membrane releases even 1–3 mm bubbles across the full tube length, giving high oxygen utilisation together with mixing.
The membrane seals itself as soon as the air supply stops, so wastewater does not flow back and the pores stay free of clogging.
A tubular body takes the load evenly around its circumference, mounting on the air main with brackets and clamps for quick installation and removal.
A tube aerator (tube diffuser) supplies oxygen to municipal sewage and organic industrial wastewater treatment systems. Air from the distribution main enters the support tube and passes through its pores; the pressure expands the rubber membrane so the micro-pores open and the air is released into the water as a uniform curtain of fine bubbles. When the air supply is interrupted the membrane immediately returns to its original shape and the pores close — a self-closing design that prevents backflow and clogging.
Key features
Materials. The rubber membrane is EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer), with good heat, ozone and acid-alkali resistance, no plasticiser, and elasticity that is retained over time without hardening, embrittling or ageing. The support tube and the air distribution piping are ABS or PVC engineering plastic; the air pipe is supplied in a hollow, water-filled form that greatly reduces the buoyancy of the aeration system in the tank. The clamps are 304 stainless steel.
Membrane details. The membrane is perforated with 1.5 mm pores on a 2 × 2.5 mm pitch, producing uniform bubbles 1–3 mm in diameter, and the top of the membrane tube carries a 15 mm unperforated zone.
